“He has called you by name!”

To my Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,

Rejoice in the Lord and again I say Rejoice!

My friends, God has a wonderful plan and a destiny for your life. Before you were formed in your mother’s womb He knew you. He had fellowship, intimate knowledge and acquaintance with you. You and He were companions, entwined in heart and passions, every desire that was yours came from Him and every thing about you He arranged to show forth His Glory through you.

Some of you reading this are weary, tired of the fighting in ministry, battles over the flesh, the strain of lack and the effort of family life. The end of this long hard year is coming rapidly to a close and the things you thought would happen have not yet materialized. It is time my friend to sit at His feet and listen. Listen to Him as He whispers His Words of life and love over you. Listen to Him singing over you His blessings and peace. He longs to tell you once more of all that you are to be for Him. What we do for God is not important to Him, but rather what we become in Him. Who we are is far greater than what we do for it is only out of the abundance of our hearts (who we are) that we can truly give life to others.
God knows you better then you do. He knows everything you are capable of doing, and He knows the value of who you can become. You are called to be Kings and Queens of the heavenly realm, people of authority reigning with dominion over life and all that it tries to throw at you. He has called you to be over abundantly supplied so that you can supply those around you with good things; Houses, cars, fridges, freezers, Washers, driers, holidays, money, clothes, food and much, much more. He knows what you are capable of handling, the question is not whether He is ready to supply, but rather are you ready to receive? Remember that a delay is not a denial, do not let go of His promise He has given through His Word. Your day is coming, prepare yourself for it.

When the Father called you to walk with Him, He called you by name. This intimate fellowship is what the Father is seeking with you right now.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give to him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows except he who receives it.”
(Rev 2:17)

The Lord not only called you by name, but He also called you by your new name. Just as Jacob the supplanter, the twister became Israel meaning He will rule as God, so too do we have a new name given us by God. Saul became Paul, Simon become Peter, Abram became Abraham and all of them had a change in their lives after receiving their true name from God. All of us have been given names, maybe you have heard some of them; stupid, idiot, slacker, bum, good-for-nothing, embarrassment, short, weak, too loud, clumsy, useless, sinner, adulterer, drunkard, liar, fraud, double-minded, cheat, pauper, sick, lame, blind, hurt. These are just a few that the world has called us all over the years, both our fathers’ and our fathers’ fathers’. Praise be to God who has called us by name; loved, joyful, peaceful, saved, safe, secure, His children, worthy, beautifully and wondrously made, the apple of His eye, My beloved, spotless, pure, Holy, sanctified, wealthy, healed, restored, faithful, redeemed. These are just some of the names He has called us. Allow Him to speak over you and replace your old names with His new names. See ourself as He sees you. Think of yourself as He does and embrace the call on your live that He has given you.

You are beautifully and wonderfully made. Don’t allow any one to rob you of who you are in Him. He has called you by name. Walk tall; confident and assured of your place as a King or Queen of Heaven. Take time to listen, take time to allow Him to sing over you, take time to grow in intimacy with Him, take time to meditate on your new name…

Revive us again oh Lord, speak unto us mysteries and reveal to us things to come….

May the Lord bless you mightily!

Your Brother in Christ,

John Olsen.
